I know, I know... I had such high hopes on keeping this blog up to date after each event, but it...
Quality Roof Seamers: Partners Turned Friends
We were thrilled when Quality Roof Seamers came on board as our very first Season Partner, but we never could have anticipated the level of support they would provide. Not only did they hop aboard the Geeslin Family Racing train as a partner, but they also stepped up as an event sponsor. Their commitment to our team and our races has been remarkable, and we are grateful for their continued support. Quality Roof Seamers has seamlessly integrated into our racing adventure, and their presence is just the start of an exciting journey ahead!
Robert and Jodi Lytle are the proud owners of the impressive Quality Roof Seamers, a thriving business situated right here in Mississippi. Nestled in Olive Branch, their company is conveniently located just a short distance from Senatobia. Quality Roof Seamers is one of the world’s leading suppliers of state of the art Electric Self Propelled Metal Roof Seamers. They offer over 15 years of experience with highly qualified staff who are dedicated to building and servicing their tools. Their seamer tools are used around the world in support of all the leading manufacturers and distributors.
The memory of meeting with Robert and Jodi to discuss becoming one of our Season Partners will always stick with me. I had meticulously prepared a stunning marketing presentation, complete with the best page protectors money could buy. I even rushed home after school to freshen up my appearance with a touch of makeup and dry shampoo! Surprisingly, all that effort wasn't necessary. What truly mattered to them was our authentic story and the firsthand exchange of tales; a valuable lesson was learned that day! I learned that building personal relationships with people outweighed all the presentation tactics that I had researched. Our conversations ultimately led to them joining our team for the 2024 season with Funny Car Chaos. Elated would be the best word to describe how I felt leaving Dad's office that day.
The Lytles and I stayed in contact over the next few months and chatted back and forth about all sorts of things. One random afternoon I got a message from Robert that said, "Hello there, would xxx get me the hood for the opening race?". My exact response was, "hmmmmm..... lemme think". I immediately FaceTimed Casey and Dad and took these screenshots of us while chatting! Yes, that's Big R crying (happy, humble and grateful tears)! This is how crucial individuals like Robert and Jodi (alongside our other partners) are to us. The costs associated with racing extend beyond the track. We are fortunate to have our entire family accompany us to each event, which means providing meals, accommodations, and fuel for our haulers and generators. The expenses can quickly add up! Without amazing partners our operation would be extremely limited and would ultimately reduce the amount of kiddos we could lug across the country with us! You see, this is truly a FAMILY run team and our adventures wouldn't be the same if we couldn't share it with the ones we love the most.
Fast forward to the season opener at the famous Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas. Robert and Jodi made the voyage to be with us in person for the weekend. On their journey they even acquired a nice little hood ornament (it may or may not have been a coyote). They took their little accident in stride and didn't let it ruin their time with our family/team. I don't want to put words in their mouths but I am pretty sure that they have found their latest addiction. They were absolutely amazing to have in our pit for the weekend. As an onlooker, it seemed that they enjoyed every aspect of their time at The Motorplex (which included watching other teams and cruising the pit areas to look at all the other cool cars that were there). I think they may have to update their storage space on their iPhones after last weekend! Thanks to them, I got lots of extra media to share with y'all throughout the season!
